Holy Week in Paraty is a popular religious celebration that  maintains traditions that date back to the 17th and 18th centuries, with an exhibition of sacred pieces that are more than 300 years old. On Good Friday you can see the Passion Steps, open only once a year. One of the highlights of Holy Week is the Procession of the Fireworks: the faithful go through the streets of the Historical Center carrying roses, with the lights of the lampposts turned off, which transports us to other times. Not to be missed by those who like traditional religious celebrations!

Religious festivity is a living tradition in Brazil. The cities are clothed in ancient and traditional practices, embellished with decorations according to local customs.
